Dear Families,

On behalf of the Brainchild Foundation, we invite your family to our annual Family Camp.

Who can attend

All families with a child who has a brain or spinal cord tumour from the age of 0 to 17 years are welcome and eligible to attend.

Siblings should also be under 17 years of age due to the restricted number of beds.

Children must be at least 3 months post treatment to participate.

We understand and can accommodate physical disabilities but ask that you notify us of any needs, so we can ensure support is in place where necessary.

What you can expect

Children who have attended previous Brainchild Camps are always keen to return, reconnect with friends and enjoy new experiences, and we believe your children will feel the same.

The camp offers a range of outdoor activities during the day, suitable for all ages and including siblings and parents. Camp staff coordinate all activities and are highly trained to always maintain safety. Evenings are reserved for more relaxed activities for both children and parents.

All meals are provided, and special dietary requirements can be catered for.

This is an opportunity for families to connect, share their stories, and for children to unwind and have fun. Brainchild volunteers will be on hand throughout the camp to offer support and answer any questions that may arise.

Details regarding dates, times, and location will be provided in the camp information pack closer to the event.

Thanks to our wonderful sponsors and donors we can offer this event at no cost to you.

Accommodation

Accommodation typically features comfortable lodges with sufficient space for activities, with most rooms having ensuites and bunk beds.

Please note that children under 5 are not permitted to use top bunks and it can get chilly at night, so pack accordingly.

Further details about what to bring will be sent out prior to camp.

As mentioned attendance at the camp is free of charge, however, spaces are limited each year, so we encourage you to apply early.

Information about application deadlines and how to apply will be communicated in advance of each event.
