(This was) Our second time visiting and being part of this amazing camp. We loved it even more this time. The group was so welcoming and we were able to re-connect with others from last year. The activities were great, really well-organised and even though we were all so tired at the end of the day – we had the BEST time.

This June, the Brainchild Foundation was delighted to welcome 24 families from Southeast and regional Queensland to our annual Family Camp in the beautiful Mount Tamborine.
With more than 100 people attending, including 50 children, the weekend was filled with laughter, friendship and unforgettable memories.
Saturday was packed with activities designed to cater for children of all ages and abilities. From rock wall climbing, archery and giant tree climbing to sports, arts and crafts, and an energetic drumming workshop, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The day concluded with toasted marshmallows around the campfire, followed by a magical performance that had children and adults alike laughing in delight. On Sunday morning, families gathered for a fascinating and interactive wildlife show, providing the perfect finale to a wonderful weekend together.
Brainchild Family Camp remains one of the highlights of the year for both our families and volunteers, with many returning year after year.
This year, we were also thrilled to partner with the Kela Foundation, whose support helped make the weekend even more special.
There is nothing more rewarding than watching our Brainchild children build friendships, grow in confidence, challenge themselves and create lasting memories in a safe and supportive environment.
To our supporters, thank you. Your generosity helps make experiences like Family Camp possible, providing connection, joy and hope for families navigating the challenges of childhood brain and spinal cord tumours.
