James ‘Jimmy’ Harrington

Jimmy was just 20 years old when he set off on his epic walk around Australia to raise money and awareness for Brainchild Foundation. Twelve months and 16000kms later, Jimmy arrived back in his home town of Adelaide to a hero’s welcome, with nearly $300,000 to donate to the Foundation. Since his return in 2014 Jimmy has been presented with numerous awards, including the prestigious Pride of Australia National Young Leader Award and People’s Choice Award. Jimmy and his amazing family have played a large role in establishing and managing the South Australian branch of the Brainchild Foundation and he is the driving force behind Jimmy’s 22 Million Steps for Kids Brain Cancer.
